Give Back. Go Back.
Take the Challenge.
#TheHomecomingChallenge is a nationwide initiative to inspire and assist college students.
Launched in 2017, The Homecoming Challenge was created by Morehouse College alumnus Chris Evans and Spelman College alumnae Dana Davenport on the 9th episode of the radio podcast, Dana Being Dana.
The initial launch resulted in over 150 students receiving a surprise visit from alumni who accepted the challenge. In 2018, the challenge grew with alumni from over 20 Historically Black Colleges and Universities and all 14 Big Ten Conference schools accepting the call.
In 2019, The Homecoming Challenge achieved nonprofit status and continued to grow, with corporate sponsorship from the likes of Kroger and others providing emotional support, financial support, and care packages to distribute to students.
With continued sponsorship from corporations and the community at large, the goal of The Homecoming Challenge is to increase impact with all public and private schools across the nation.
The Homecoming Challenge is for ANYONE at ANY SCHOOL and it can be done ANYTIME you return to campus (reunions, graduations, drop off/pick up of kids). So get ready, pack your business cards, and take the challenge today!
